Rick Danielson has been pastor of Trinity Church since August 2005. He is only the seventh installed pastor in Trinity's long history of one and a quarter centuries! Rick's pastoral work began in the United Methodist Church where he served congregations for 17 years in Western New York and on the coast of Maine. In 2004 he affiliated with the United Church of Christ denomination. Rick's formal ministry training was received at Houghton College (B.A 1983) and Asbury Theological Seminary (M.Div. 1986.) In 1998 Rick was chosen for the Beeson Pastor academic fellowship in church leadership and preaching at Asbury Seminary. He completed the program and received the Doctor of Ministry degree in 2001. A professional artist, Rick has recently illustrated two books for the eminent Bible scholar Dr. Ben Witherington III. Rick enjoys incorporating the arts into worship and other aspects of church life. In Buffalo, Rick serves on the board of directors for AIDS Family Services and the advisory council for The Center for Family Systems Theory. He is a leader/speaker for the Casting Your Nets growth initiative of the UCC New York Conference. Rick is the father of two active teenagers. He and his life partner Leroy, a public school teacher, live in Amherst. When not working or spending time with family, Rick enjoys photography, reading, cooking, and travel. Other StaffKaren Buranich, Organist and Choir Director Karen is a life-long member of Trinity. She provides instrumental accompaniment for our worship and directs our choirs. Karen is also a kindergarten teacher at Drew Science Magnet (School 90) in the city. She and her husband Joe and daughter live in East Aurora. Elaine Hartman, Secretary Elaine manages our church office and produces all printed materials for the congregation. She can be found in the office on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. Elaine has served on the church staff for over twenty years. She and her husband George and two adult children live in Lovejoy. Ray Laird, Custodian Ray is responsible for the maintenance and security of our facilities. He lives next door in the church parsonage and is a long-time resident of Lovejoy. Ray and his wife Christine have two adult children and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. |
